TYPE OF GLASS AND THEIR BENEFITS
Heat Strengthened:
Heat-strengthened glasses are used to provide additional resistance to wind pressure and thermal stress. The main benefit is that when it breaks, due to the thermal treatment, it shatters into large pieces that remain in the frame, preventing them from falling.
Tempered:
Four times stronger than regular annealed glass, tempered glass is used when thermal resistance and safety are sought after. It meets safety glazing requirements specified by the American National Standards Institute and the Consumer Product Safety Commission of the federal safety standard.
Insulating:
This glass allows energy savings and reduces noise transmission in homes, creating a more comfortable environment with pleasant temperatures.
Laminated:
Laminated glass offers durability, high performance, and multifunctional benefits, including security, protection, sound control, solar energy performance, UV detection, as well as hurricane and blast resistance, all while preserving the aesthetics of the glass.
